Correspondence, 1898-1905.

Correspondence (16 letters), May 18, 1898-1905 (scattered), from Nash to his parents, Traverse City (Mich.), describing his unit's trip to Va. and Cuba, plant and animal life in Cuba, the surrender of Santiago de Cuba, and an exchange of prisoners. Three letters of recommendation from past employers, 1904-1905, and Nash's high school commencement program and name card, 1900, are also included.

Nash served in the Michigan Infantry, 34th Regiment, during the Spanish-American War. He graduated from Traverse City High School in 1900. He worked as a bookkeeper and stenographer, 1904-1905.
